Ryan Blane
Chief Executive Officer
Ryan has over 10 years’ experience in the materials and geotechnical industry having worked across Africa and South Africa.He is a Professionally Registered Geological Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) with SACNASP. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2012.
Ryan is also a member of the Geological Society of South Africa, and affiliated with the NHBRC.
In addition to overseeing the running of the laboratory, Ryan specializes in petrographic analysis of hard rock, and is vastly experienced with Karoo Igneous Province Dolerites. He is a SANAS approved Technical Signatory for Strata GeoCivils (Pty) Ltd’s full accreditation scope.
Ryan is also the Quality Management System Manager and SANAS nominated representative while managing the business’s plan and marketing strategies.
He enjoys the outdoors, rock-hounding, fish keeping, exploring and fishing the Wildcoast. Part time mechanic, coffee roaster, quad rider and full-time twin dad, Ryan can easily handle you Materials and Geological needs.
Grant Hensburg
Technical Manager
Grant is an ECSA registered professional holding a NDip Civil Engineering and a BTech in Geotechnical Engineering.He has over 7 years experience and specializing in geotechnical investigations and recommendations. He also facilitates Strata GeoCivils (Pty) Ltd’s specialized geotechnical laboratory section and is primarily involved with the civil engineering materials analysis and geotechnical report writing.
Grant is careful and meticulous and wholly invested in identifying any risks positioned against your construction project and how to manage and mitigate them in a practical yet affordable way.
He is a SANAS approved technical signatory for Strata GeoCivils (Pty) Ltd's full accredited scope and has a scrupulous eye for consistency in results.
Grant is also a skilled musician with a passion for hard rock and heavy metal. He has a keen interest in horticulture, mycology and coffee roasting.
Siphokazi Similo
Laboratory Manager
Sips is a fundamental component to Strata GeoCivils (Pty) Ltd. She holds a NDip in Civil Engineering and has over 12 years’ experience at Strata GeoCivils (Pty) Ltd.During this time, Sipho has controlled the concrete and soils aspect of the business as well as every other task which arises. She is an excellent communicator and problem solver and leads by finding the right solution to any problem.
Sipho also handles scheduling, quotations and any staff related issues. She is a vital part of the management team and is a SANAS approved technical signatory.
Siphokazi is a dedicated mother of 2 young boys, who occupy much of her time away from work. She is involved in church and enjoys watching documentaries and going out with friends and family.
